When you first get home your dog will be unsure about its surroundings. Make your new puppy feel welcome by lavishing it with some love or maybe a doggy treat (available in the pet store).  You might have to get his attention first though by using the call button.

When your puppy comes to the front of the screen you can pet him by moving the back and forth across the puppies head. Your puppy will put his head down if he likes it.
