1) In the top left corner you can use the buttons to quickly go to either the front end (in case you wanted to create a new puppy) or to the options screen (more on that in a moment).

2) The right top of the screen you can see a system clock. We know that sometimes when you are playing with your pet you’re likely to lose track of time so we’ve included a clock to help you out.

3) On the bottom right side of the screen you will see six icons; they let you know how the puppy is doing. You’ll want to keep your icons as full as possible to make sure your puppy is happy.

The water dish signifies how thirsty the puppy is.
The food dish signifies how hungry the puppy is.
The brush signifies how clean the puppy is.
The Zzz’s signify how tired the puppy is.
The heart signifies how brave the puppy is.
The hydrant signifies how badly the puppy has to go to the bathroom.

4) On the bottom left there are five other buttons.

Button one: Care
Wash, brush, feed, provide water and give treats are the major care items available here. You can also change your puppies Dog house and Pillow once you have bought them from the pet store.

Button two: Go Out
Using this button you can take your dog for a walk or to the other parks for him to play around in. Under this selection you will also find the pet store where you can buy your puppy new food, toys or upgrades to the back yard. Most importantly you’ll find the competition button; this allows you to enter the puppy in different competitions where you can win money to buy new things at the pet store.

Button three: Toys
Here you can choose the different toys you have bought your dog. Throw around the Frisbee or a ball or watch your puppy gnaw on a rope toy.

Button four: Tricks
You can teach your puppy different tricks that they can perform at any time.

Button five: Call
You can use this button to get your puppies attention and make him come to the front of the screen
